Julia Cameron says, "Art is not about thinking something up. It is the opposite -- getting something down." To me, making art is like giving birth to the manifestation of an idea: painful, exhilirating, confusing, necessary.

Currently, I work in several media. I design one-of-a-kind costumes, am proficient on a sewing machine, do hand-stitching, beadwork, and embroidery. I love painting, especially watercolor. I'm also in the process of painting fields of sunflowers on our 1973 VW bus. With my friends at the Church of Silk I do silk painting and tie dye, turning these pieces into scarves, clothes, and flags.
