One option might be to book the James Reserve up in Idyllwild. This is a facility run, I believe, by UC Riverside, that is in a beautiful “wild” location in the mountains but has hi-tech meeting facilities. It has a dorm but also tent sites and is cheap - $5 per person. Maybe we all could give the website a gander …. http://www.jamesreserve.edu/ … and if it looks like there is interest, I could see if our target dates are available?

The suggestion that arose was:
A pseudo camping trip (!) at either: Palomar Mtn, Julian, or Idyllwild
On proposed date(s): Saturday Nov. 22 - Sunday Nov. 23
By keeping the trip fairly local, people who can’t/ don’t want to camp can come for the day/evening.
How does this date work? Preferences on campgrounds?

Hi,
There’s a calendar online to check availability at:
http://www.ucnrs.org/RAMS/application/Calendar/NRSCalendar.lasso?reserve=17
The weekend we were discussing is open, but it looks like the place does get booked up. If we’re going, we should think about booking soon!
We can book now, and cancel if needed. It looks like there is only a fee ($50) for not showing up, or canceling within 24 hrs of arrival.
We need to know the number of people going in order to book. So, who can attend a retreat Nov. 22-23?
